Athens is a city full of vibe and energy. It never sleeps....Of course we have the amazing monuments, museums etc., but that's not only it.
You could start your day drinking coffee at Plaka and end up at 4 in the morning eating hot dogs at Mavili square (although we're not that known for our hot dogs, it's reaaally good...). Especially if you're young, you can find so many alternatives to having fun...The list is endless. You should definitely try having your morning coffee or even lunch at 'Giasemi' (Plaka). Sit on the steps and enjoy the fresh homemade pies and various other dishes. Walk around and explore the territory (careful during the summer though...Greece is sunny, sunny, sunny and warm!). Go get a beer at the terrace of the Acropolis museum - sightseeing and a drink brake packed in one (the prices are very good). Hop on the train, go to Petralona and have your dinner at 'Oikonomou' - amazing Greek food. Finally, have a cocktail (or two :)) at 'Baba Au Rhum'. The bartenders create amazing things...
One thing is certain, you will not get bored. And if you are that difficult to please, go to Peireaus and hop on a boat to anywhere in the Aegean!
