Houston, Tx
Houston is a great city to visit! Being a native, means I could tell you a million different places to see and things to do. But to keep this from becoming a novel on my hometown, here are a few highlights you MUST see if ever visiting Houston:
NASA space center is a great place to learn about the epic space race history as well as see some really cool rockets and spacegear!
Houston Rodeo is pure Texas!! If you want to see cowboy hats, big belt buckles, cowboy boots, horses, bull riding, & all things Texas you have to check out the rodeo which is usually sometime between the months of february and march!
Washington Avenue is the hottest club scene in Houston. This is an area of bars and clubs that exemplifies nightlife in Houston. Whether you prefer expensive and classy or cheap and trashy, this area will give you that and anything in between!
Timmy Chan's is a diamond in the rough type of eatery. It's one of my favorites because its a very cheap yet fulfilling meal that comes with an experience everytime you dine. Located in the mor urban part of Houston on the southwest side, this fastfood reataurant is known for selling fried chicken along with asian fried rice! The combonation might seem a little weird if you have never tried it, but once you try it you will be hooked. People come more than an hour away from the Northside of Houston to get this fried chicken and rice combo! So when you do visit this place you will see all walks of life from Houston coming together for a common goal, good food!
These are just a few key spots to visit, but Houston has so much to offer I wouldn't do it any justice by saying I'm an expert at all. The city can only be experienced not explained.
