Jyväskylä is seventh most big city in Finland. It is located in the middle of the Finland. Population is little over 130 000 citizens at the moment. People of Jyväskylä are quite young, because we have excellent opportunities for studying. We have a lot of people all around the world, who have come to study in Jyväskylä. Because of this, the city is growing and developing all the time.
We have a lot to see and to do. In the summer, you can see the "nightless night", in the middle summer sun is up almost 22 hours per day. We have beautiful lakes where you can go to swim or maybe do some water-sports, for example water-skiing. Fishing is also very popular.
You can do all kinds of sport activities, for example go play icehockey, go horseback riding, go-karting, go to hot air balloon to watch the beautiful views, go shopping and of course partying! For people who are interested on speed, just so you know, we have Neste Rally Finland every year in our city, usually in the beginning of august.
In Jyväskylä, you will get a long very well with english, everybody can speak it. People are friendly and will help you if you need.
