The Heart of Europe
What once was a small roman trading outpost called "Turicum" is now one of the worlds' cities with the highest living quality. The beautiful center consisting of the old town with its beautiful houses, churches and monasteries is an exellent place to go for a walk or have a peek at the numerous little shops selling everything from swiss army knives to high quality clothing. Zurich also own one of the most sophisticated shopping avenues in the world the "Bahnhofstrasse". Walking along it you will pass the "Paraeredeplatz", one of the finanzial centers of switzerland. Just a few hundred meters from it you will find the lakeside of marvellous lake Zurich with parks and many possibilities to go for a swim to both sides.
