A review of Kastoriá

Kastoria is one of the most scenic and beautiful cities in Northern Greece. Most of its beauty Kastoria owes to the lake that is the center-point of the city. There is a big number of bars and restaurants overlooking the lake for every taste! Locals take long walks or cycle on the beach walk. If you are the active kind I would definitely recommend doing the whole beach walk ("round of the lake" as the people of Kastoria call it) that is about 10Km long. I would also recommend visiting the old part of the city especially the area of "Doltsos" with the great old mansions of wealthy Kastorian people. Kastoria is also known for its fur and leather industry. If you are looking for affordable leather jackets or luxurious fur coats that is definitely the place to be! Overall is a great city to visit at all seasons as it is equally beautiful all year around!
