London - How it Has Changed
Originally from "The Old East End", I was brought up to be loud and proud about being a Londoner. I grew up fascinated by the history that surrounding the place and took every opportunity to visit one of the many historial landmarks as often as possible.
More recently, times have changed. Due to the global economic crisis, the country, as well as London, has lost some of its sparkle. Londers are no longer loud and proud, but quiet and apprehensive. The younger generation are confused and scared and have started to resent our country, vandalising and pilfering some of our most valued sites of interest in the City.
I believe that if Londoners revisit some of those amazing memories and remembered what London is all about, things may not seem so bleak. One of the most iconic cities in the world, we have big red buses, little red telephone boxes, men wearing tall furry hats in red coats, big black birds that sit at the Tower of London, Crowns and Jewels fit for Kings and Queens, Fish and Chips, the "pub", Coronation Street......all because of tradition, something that doesn't seem to be about much these days.....
London is a magical place, where you can be transported back in time, where you can feel the pride I feel at being a Londoner.
