Los Angels is a wonderful city. Its large with room to roam. Public transportation exists but so do frequently uttered phrases like "If you don't have a car in L.A. your screwed". However a car is not necessary if you are willing to walk, bike, or work your schedule around public transportation. Two of the best areas to be with out a vehicle include Venice Beach, and Holly Wood. With the wide variety of living options, near by groceries, an awesome community and fun activities like beaches and night clubs, a carless trip to LA can still be a roaring good time.

The City its self covers an immense sprawling range and anyone with transportation can explore a wide variety of attractions from The Ghetty Center & Universal Studios, to shows at famous Disney Hall & excursions through time at the La Brea Tar Pits near by. There are even buried treasures amongst the out lying communities, like Big Bear Mountain buried under snow.

For those seeking to see beyond the bright and shiny glamor of Los Angeles there are ample opportunities as you make your way around the city to gain a perspective for the cultures and lifestyles of the people who lives here. If you really want to jump in and see the full spectrum from top to bottom be sure to try volunteering at a homeless aid facility near skid row. Just remember to be smart, stay safe, and enjoy the adventure that is Los Angeles.
