Munkkällaren, or Munken (the Monk) as most people call it, is a restaurant and night club in Visby. Centrally located on "Stora Torget" in the middle of Visby, it is one of the most popular night clubs with its different areas and music styles. The restaurant is offering excellent dining which you will enjoy in rooms from the 12th century. The night club has 3 different dance floors and nine bars and it also has a stage with live music.

Since it only lives about 25,000 people in Visby there aren't many night clubs open during low season. It's Munkkällaren and HamnPlan 5 in the port area. However, Munkkällaren is most popular and the crowd is between 20-45. It's usually a pretty good party mood so you will not be disappointed.



Not all bars and dance floors are open during low season. During high season the place is totally packed!
