Athens may not attract so many people as Barcelona or Paris, but it offers an overall magical experience to whoever visits. Start from Acropolis of course and wander around the historic center of the city to wind up in the cozy little bars that you will find in narrow alleys and pedestrian zones. You will also need to get away from the city center in order to get a fine idea about living in Athens. Go south towards the sea and north towards mount Parnitha: the metropolis of Athens awaits you.
