by Sasha Pisan

Bangkok's heat and traffic might not strike you as romantic. However, it has unexpected spots of tranquility and corners or green like in Lumpini Park. At night, the metropolis is just as alive as it is in the daytime, setting the scene for lovers for all ages, until the wee hours.

Where to stay:

the famous Banyan Tree in Bnagkok( tel +66 2 651 9501, has its rooftop bars are one-of-a-kind views around the City also offers unique tranquil Spa. Try the great value option, the Winsor Suites Hotel (www.winsorsuiteshotel.com)

Dinner Date:

Book a table for two at Ban Chiang which is  traditional themed wooden house with intimate rooms for lovers. Another intimate setting is the Eat me stylish bistro with an art gallery. The couple can write love notes on the butcher paper table covers. For more info.  for Ban Chiang the address is 14 Soi Sri Vieng, surasak, Telephone no. +66 2 236 7045; Eat Me address: 1/6 Soi Pipat 2, Convent Road, tel: +66 2 238 0931.

Couple Must Do:

Get Pampered with Thai massage in the morning and river cruises in the afternoon. See the gorgeous Wat Arun or Temple of Dawn as the day ends. At night pop into the concept club called Bed. Check www.bedsupperclub.com

Must learn:

"Mai pen rai" (No big deal

"Gee baht?" (How much?)

"Sawasdee" (hello/Goodbye)

"kob Khun" (thank you)

"koh tode" (sorry)
