Parga - a pleasant surprise
Parga is a small town in West Greece. It is located between Preveza and Igoumenitsa. The town is quite touristic and you will see many signs "rooms to let" and taverns offering local delicacies. The beach is good but it would be better to skip it and head to less crowded beaches outside the town.
Parga was a new town for me, I had never heard about it before we stopped for a one day visit. But what a surprise, walking around by the beach and pier I think it was one of the most scenic little towns in Greece I've seen so far. Ok, some streets are a bit touristic with the ordinary tourist shops, but the view of the small islands (that you easily can swim out to), the cliffs and houses was a real pleasant surprise.
I would probably not stay there for a full week, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're traveling around the area!
