Valle de Mena is a small collection of towns and villages in the province of Burgos which has character and stunning views. The surrounding mountains are perfect for hiking, the breath-taking views and experiencing the Spanish culture. This out of the way valley has all that you need to relax with many bars, quaint restaurants and various festivals around the year.

Like most places in Spain, most shops are closed on sunday and between 2 and 5 all other days, apart from some like Pan Manesa in Villasana which is a patisserie which has a wide selection of home made, delicious products which are baked there in the shop.

Valle de Mena is well placed with only an hour or less coach drive to Bilbao and less in a car. Also close to other cities such as Balmaseda, there is no shortage of things that you can do or places you can go in and around the valley. Many people here speak a small amount of English so it isn't difficult to get around and find what you need.
