Top five things to see and do in London, UK

River cruise and walking tour

An excellent activity to fill a day in England's capital! Make your way to Greenwich Pier, via the world famous Cutty Shark shipwreck, and hop on a city ferry. The cruise takes in many of London's top sites along the banks of the Thames River. The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, London Bridge, the Globe Theatre, St Paul's, HMS Belfast, The Houses of Parliament, London Eye, and the South Bank. After leaving the ferry at Houses of Parliament head to Trafalgar Square for a walk down the Thames. Meandering streets and squares, make your way to Borough Market. This walk is jam-packed with things to do, and places to go! Explore markets, while passing galleries and famous streets. Leicester Square is the home of film premieres, while highlights of nearby Covent Garden Market include talented street entertainers. At the other end of the walk Borough Market is a treasure trove of some of the best food around.

Festival in the park

A must for the UK summer! Enjoy an awesome day out in one of London's famous parks, such as Hyde Park or Hampstead Heath, where several festivals take place over the great British Summer! Great bands are always on the line-up and the sun is (usually!) shining. The atmosphere is always electric as thousands of revellers come together to enjoy the acts in the home of pop music.

Haunted pub crawl

Enjoy a few pints in the city that holds the Guinness World Record for the largest pub crawl ever held! Explore the world's most fascinating, historical, culturally enriched and of course...haunted city, via the pub's. Delve into London's dark and barbaric history with 2000 years of blood and gore that has secured it's title of 'the most haunted capital city in the world'. Enjoy a pint or two in some of the oldest (and best!) drinking dens. See where traitors, thieves and robbers were hung, drawn and quartered and learn some of the capital's darkest secrets. Several companies offer organised tours or be adventerous and create your own.

Champagne on the London Eye

The London Eye (or Millennium Wheel) is a spectacular riverside wheel standing on the banks of the Thames. The see-through glass-pods offer a 360 degree view of London and beyond. The Houses of Parliament, Canary Wharf, Big Ben, and Windsor Castle (on a clear day!) are a few of theattractions that can be admired from the top. The wheel takes 30 minutes to rotate and one of the best ways to idle the time away is to enjoy a glass of champagne!

Dinner and West End show

London's West End is one of the world's most exciting and famous theatre scenes, with the musical being its most famous success. The West end has everything from long-running shows to contemporary productions (such as Phantom of the Opera and the Lion King). An exciting place to visit with every corner advertising hit musicals and shows like an amusement park. After taking in a show, enjoy a meal in the city with a reputation for fine food in one of the hundreds of restaurants offering pre and post show dinners.
