An article about Prague
by Andreea Sipos

Prague, the capital city of Czech Republic, is situated on Vlatva River in central Bohemia.
I have been there in September 2009 and went back in October just to enjoy all the great things Prague has to offer.
In September I had a great time, October unfortunatelly was different cause I wasn't expected the weather to be so cold. So I sugest to visit before autumn or prepare yourself for windy days with alot of rain.
Going back to what you can see in Prague, here's a list:
Old Town (Stare Mesto) with its Old Town Square where you can admire the Astronomical clock while having a beer or lunch. I have tried some of these restaurants and have nothing to complain about.
Charles Bridge, New Town (Nove Mesto) with the Wenceslas Square, Mala Strana (Lesser Quarter) are places you should have on your list when deciding to visit the czech capital.
Also "a must", Prague Castle (the largest castle in the world) with its St. Vitus Cathedral, Josefov (the old Jewish quarter) and Franz Kafka museum.
In Prague's churches you can enjoy concerts everyday. I tried St. Martin Church ( the oldest Prague Church, built between 1178-1187) and it was a great experience. Tickets are available in front of the church and also in Prague hotels.
Prague offers many restaurants, most with traditional czech or italian menu but other international cuisines are also available.
Most people in Prague speak english so you shouldn't have communication problems.
Public transportation is not expensive. From the airport I suggest you choose the minibus that goes in the centre of the city, on Celnici street and the ticket is 120 crowns. Its better to exchange some money in the airport and pay for the ticket at the desk inside the airport. You can pay it at the driver also but in case he has no change you will have to wait other 30 minutes for the next one to come.
Enjoy it!
