17th is a great place for the shopping it has tones of stores and great places to eat along the way. At night it is full of people going to the bars along the strip, it is a fun place to meet new people and connect with old friends.
Banff National Park
One of the most serene places out side of Calgary, if you have a chance to come to Calgary make sure you plan Banff into your trip. It is approximately two and a half hours away but is worth it once you get there. It is as if you are driving into a picture. There are many shops and places to ski/snowboard. It is a perfect place for a winter get away.

Heritage park is a great place to go if you want to step back in time, there so many things to see and do you make sure you have a day to spend there.
