Trip to the Vatican
If you've ever been to Rome, you would've done well to see the Vatican, among other things. Like most historical buildings throughout Italy, this giant structure holds all the basic values: grotesque statues, towering domes, intricate facades echoing the transformational power of time. But what most do not capture that is in the Vatican is the very still and entrancing power althroughout that helps to redefine the meaning of Christianity. What a Christian could not tell you you will find in this building. The Vatican holds all the mystery that helps to explain many of the complexities and inconsistencies of the Christian religion. It is, at once, political and poetic, exuding an historical epic that delves many chapters in the story of the West.

2 hours in line is always a great experience :) But good to know anyway.
Any scholar could spend years in the Vatican. For those whose knowledge isn't entirely that in depth but still interested, probably a day or two would be enough helped along by a tour by a well educated tour guides. Also note: if you happen to be wisping through Rome on the last Sunday of any month, entrance to the Vatican Museum is free, lest you feel compelled to wait in line for an hour or two.
How much time is needed to spend in the Vatican? Is one day enough?
