The Bay Area
Whether you arrive by plane, train, boat or by rideshare to the San Francisco Bay Area, there are five places you need to visit. Starting in San Francisco, I advice you to stay at Medjool's Elements Hotel, located @ 2522 Mission St. in the Mission District. It's just a few blocks from the BART train. The hotel/hostel offers rooms for all budgets as well as a cafe and a tasty restaurant. From here, you can explore the Mission district, have a day picnic at Dolores Park, or simply take the public transit to any other neighborhood.
Although I like San Francisco, I also recommend the lesser known city acrross the bay. Oakland, for example, is a vibrant multicultural city with a happenin music and arts scene. Just take the BART to the Downtown Oakland, explore the local venues, like Cafe Van Kleef, Ruby Room, Tamarindo Restaurant, and make your way to Lake Merrit. One of my favorites spots in Oakland, Lake Merrit offers a scenic Oakland, surrounded by hills, a saturday farmers market, and the majestic Grand Theatre.
To finish your trip, visit wine country in Napa, Sonoma, or Humbolt county.

Good guide Leonardo, any tips how to plan a wine country tour? Any website?
