Top five things to see and do in Baja, Mexico

Lobster in Puerto Nuevo

You definitely have to taste the delicious fresh made, mouth watering, famous Puerto Nuevo style lobster. Just a few minutes from Rosarito you can find the best tasting lobster in the region! With flower tortillas, rise and mexican frijoles on the side. Just next to the ocean, the little town of Puerto Nuevo is home to near 50 restaurants, some over 50 years serving. And for a finger-likiing-good dish, the price is very fare. Provecho!

Bullfighting

If you like some action, the Plaza Monumental in Tijuana is the place to go. Don't need to go all the way to Spain for a good bullfight. From May to October, next to the ocean you can watch as the toreros fight to the death with enormous bulls. And just after the fight, the music and dancing begins with the tambora _and _norteño...a real mexican fiesta! The entrance is about 40 to 50 dlls but it's worth every penny!

The Wine Trail

Baja being Mexico's wine producer, it is home to some of the best wine houses in America. The wine trail takes you through the Guadalupe Valley stoping at different wine houses with the traditional wine tasting, of course. At the end of the tour you enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the local restaurants. You will delite your self all the way with the scenery inspired by the elements of Baja grapes.

Gray Whale Watching

Of course you need to take the whale watching tour if you go between January and March and enjoy up and close the famous and mysterious migration of the Gray Whale. The cost is about 30 dlls.

San Diego

If you are in Tijuana and you are not from the US, and you have an american visa, you have to visit the San Diego malls as well as the many attractions the city has to offer, be it Coronado Island, The San Diego Zoo, Sea World, the night life, restaurants and beautiful beaches.

The combination of South California, with all its modern arquitechture and gigantic freeways and North of Baja with its traditional food, warm atmosphere and natural landscapes is what makes this region one of the most beautiful to visit.
