Have fun in the west
Well first and foremost there is the West Edmonton Mall. It is the largest mall in the world. It has A Fantasy themed Hotel, a very big waterpark with a huge wavepool and many waterslides. There is also a big amusement park with many rides including a big indoor rollercoaster.
Take a stroll on Whyte Avenue
Whyte Ave is the hip shopping and bar district, great for people watching on summer days and nights.
The North Country Fair
On the summer solstice every year, they have a 3 day festival with many great acts performing. The sun stays up until 1:00 a.m. and rises again about 3 1/2 hours later.
The Fringe Festival
Every year in August Edmonton hosts the worlds second biggest theatre festival.
The Rocky mountains
Very beautiful and great for trekking, skiing and rock climbing.

It has upwards of 300 stores for shopping. I fotgot to mention there is also bungy jumping.
