Oh...behave! A guide to London...
London is definitely one of the places worth visiting. It offers everything a traveller might want! Excellent sightseeing, restaurants for every taste, clubs and bars serving a great variety of cocktails and amazing shopping.
My advice is to plan your days carefully because London is very big and there are a lot of things to see. You definitely have to go for sightseeing to the “Tower Bridge” and “Tower of London”and have a stroll next to the river. Don’t miss “St. Catherine’s docks” right next to the bridge where you will find the well known “Dickens Inn” pub and lovely small marinas full of luxurious yachts. A must see is also Big Ben, where you could synchronise your watch to the world’s most famous clock! Right next to it is the parliament and the Westminster Abbey. Opposite Big Ben, to the other side of the river, the “Millennium eye” offers the best views of the river Thames and London. Book your tickets for the “Millennium eye” on the Internet because the queues are enormous. Usually there are offers on the Internet combining the above attraction to the famous wax museum “Madam Tussauds” where you can mingle with your favourite celebrities!
London is one of the best places to experience food from all over the world! There are plenty of restaurants where you can try Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai food as well as Mexican and Italian. My personal favourite is Lebanese and Japanese! Even if you don’t fancy going to a restaurant it is almost guaranteed that there would be a place that you can get some “international” take away food in the neighbourhood. If you are planning to go to a popular restaurant it’s always good to book in advance.
London is also very good for clubbing. However, all the clubs worth going work with a guest list, so make sure you are in one and arrive early (around 10:30- 11:00 pm) to avoid long queues or in the worst case scenario being left out.
Definitely visit an English traditional pub on a Sunday to try the Sunday roast or any other day for fish and chips. Be careful because some pubs don't serve food all day. Some stop between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Especially on a Sunday make sure you go around 11:30 am -12:00 am if you don't want to have any problem to find a seat or even food!!!
One thing you shouldn’t miss in London is its open markets. The most famous ones are the Camden Town market in Camden town, the Portobello market in Portobello road - Notting Hill (every Saturday) and the Spitalfields Market in East London close to Liverpool street station. In these markets you can escape the cliché high street shops and find clothes, jewellery and all kinds of things not only cheap but with soul and imagination. There are plenty of vintage shops where you can buy original 70’s and 80’s clothes and accessories as well as open food markets where you can try delicacies from all over the world.
If you get tired of going to bars and restaurants for your evening entertainment, one way to have a good time and lots of memories is to go to a musical. There are many musicals to choose from but I have to say that my personal favourite is the “Phantom of the Opera”. I have seen it two times and I wouldn’t say no to a third! If phantom of the opera is not your cup of tea as the English say, then “Mamma Mia” would be my second favourite!
I could keep writing on and on about things in London but I think for now I have to leave it to you to explore and feel its magic!

Very good London guide! Perfect for long weekend. Thanks!
